Yaqui/Apache & goats
I`ve had this batch awaiting the inspiration to finally get them done for quite a while.
I wanted to expand my Yaqui/Apache warband, these are from Irregular Miniatures truthfully they look more like Plains Indians than Yaqui and seem a little under dressed, but they`ll do for my tabletop.

Goats, again from Irregular Miniatrues, I`ve repeated what I did ages back and grouped them into herd-like groups, they basically are terrain filler.
TBH whilst the miniatures might not be 100% what you’d ideally like, I reckon they’ve painted up reasonably well - especially the foot. The riders, as you indicated, perhaps have more the look of the Plains tribes.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether a few Boer miniatures would be a useful addition? Maybe convert to loose any hat and instead model with long hair and maybe a headband.

Cheers Geoff, I actually have Boers among my cowboy/civilians, I may infact have a few plastic (Red Box maybe?) left in a drawer downstairs might be worth a look? I`m at the planning phase of a Mexican Revolution game with Tlahuica Indians (allied to Zapata) attacking a Federal held town in 1918. I thought using Indians would make a visually different game.
