Bought several of these cheap Chinese di-cast toy halftracks at a stall at a classic car show (50p each)
Now they are pretty much 1/76th scale.
I`ve already converted one earlier as a beute vehicle now owned by 5. Kompanie 69PG
Shaun was nice enough to sell me some GMC type wheels, so I`ve started on another (again a beute from Tunisia)
A pic of the two conversions so you can see the interiors
A few more pics of the second model with its trailer
I may well do the next one as a US track with pulpit
Nice conversion. Reminds of that series of photos of a German column after Kasserine, with its mix of M3s, 251s and jeeps (and a CMP lorry if I remember correctly). You seem to have a good eye for seeing the potential for conversions. What make is the AA gun?
ReplyDeleteThe captured M3 is indeed based on one in a serise of photos of 69PG in Tunisia - http://baberonwargames.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/69th-pg-in-tunisia.html
ReplyDeleteThe 20mm and trailer are Milicast - very delicate
