Shell Craters
Second batch of terrain/filler items.
A mixed batch of shell craters, these are 3D prints from John Banks https://www.facebook.com/JbWargamming scaled down to 20mm for me.
I`ve based them on pieces of clear acrylic, before a dark grey undercoat, then a simple paint job with a light dusting of sand.
A few 20mm Regulares just for scale
Two large calibre craters (one double)
Three medium craters
Eight smaller craters
The whole lot together

Nice, but don’t you just think that non-wargamers will look at this and think “what the heck is going on there?” ๐
ReplyDeleteStill, each to their own - and it does keep us happy ๐
Cheers,
Geoff
As the blog is called "Baber on Wargames" and I`ve been playing with toy soldiers since I was little (and make no attempt to hide it) - what other people outside our hobby think is the least of my concerns :)
DeleteTBH, I wasn’t being especially serious - more just reflecting how, what we do in our hobby might look to “outsiders”. Whenever my wife “accuses” me of being a wargamer I always respond with “but at least I’m not a trainspotter”. Spotting trains may not be my cup of tea, but if they enjoy it then what-the-heck ๐
DeleteI know, never took the comment in anyother way than with a smile :) My wife loves to tell people I play with toy soldiers, but most men seem to think it would be nice to have a hobby and most women like the fact I do something creative (the building/painting side). I`m not embaressed by our hobby, this blog was started to advertise it.
DeleteThey are rather nice, I like the look of them and very handy they should be too.
ReplyDeleteVery kind, I have quite a few (see my last game) but I like tp spread the love and buy from different manufacturers, John does some nice stuff.
