Renault R-35

Renault R-35

Shellhole Scenics white metal model (I left off the tail skid) with an AB Figures commander

Painted in a neutral khaki colour so it can serve where ever I want - Syria/Lebanon, Morocco (Operation Torch) or mainland France.

  1. Nicely done.
More games in Lebanon & Syria would get a thumbs up from me 😉
    Cheers,

  2. Lovely little model and very nicely done, like the addition of the commander, very nice.

  3. You have been a busy boy recently Richard...all good stuff. It still amazes me the amount of really good kit the French had at the outbreak of the war..Poorly deployed and even worse led, if the French High command had got their act together the result could have been very different.

    1. I plan and work in batches, the resin M14s were easy quick builds and this one was pretty straight forward also - so all built alongside the plastic British vehicles, undercoated together, then painted in batches. Yes the French I some good kit and far more tanks than the Germans, but one man turrets and lack of radios led to poor coordination in attack or defence. Top this with the high command still fighting WW1 on the mapboard led to disaster.
