Country Cottage

Country Cottage

Last piece for the year

Another cheap bootfair find (1 Euro), I think it was another one of those Belen items (traditional Christmas scenes) which appear in shops at this time of year. Simple construction of cork board with a corrugated cardboard roof, a bit beaten about, but I saw the potential.

I stripped the roof and replaced it with some plastic pantile, then gave the whole thing a new paint job and added some bushes - cheap, cheerful, but it`ll do for my Mediterranean Theatre games at a fraction of the cost of a purpose built building.

I`ve placed a few SCW figures in the photos for scale

Bunkers

Bunkers

These are resin come as a set from Anyscale Modelshttps://anyscalemodels.co.uk/

I`ve bought stuff off them before, their service in the UK is excellent, their terrain stuff is very reasonably priced.

These will feature in a couple of games I`m designing for the New Year

I`ve experimented with camouflage and flock to vary the look

Shell Craters

Shell Craters

Second batch of terrain/filler items.

A mixed batch of shell craters, these are 3D prints from John Banks https://www.facebook.com/JbWargamming scaled down to 20mm for me.

I`ve based them on pieces of clear acrylic, before a dark grey undercoat, then a simple paint job with a light dusting of sand.

A few 20mm Regulares just for scale

Two large calibre craters (one double)

Three medium craters

Eight smaller craters

The whole lot together

Scatter Terrain

Scatter Terrain

I`m sure I`m like everyone else reading this and always have bits on the go - a project part built or something left half finished, then left on the shelf. But towards the end of the year I try and clear the decks.

This year most of my part done bits are smaller pieces of terrain, here is the first batch:

Rock outcrops

These will be used to break up more open areas, giving cover and blocking lines of sight.

Three are plastic from packets of toy soldiers, the last is a piece of insulation I found whilst out walking. All have been based and painted up then I added flock and some foliage.

Western Buildings

Western Buildings

I`ve been wanting to add a few different looking buildings to my Mexican Revolution set-up, some more wooden, American western style.

These are 3D prints from John Banks https://www.facebook.com/JbWargamming scaled down to 20mm for me.

I`ve gone for a very simple paint scheme inside and our.

No assembly required, just a little trimming and that was it, the models take paint very well too.

Ordering was simple through the FB page, payment by Paypal, delivery was quick and the items came well packed.
