French motorised troops in tropical gear
These are brand spanking new from Elhiem Figures.
They are sculpted to represent motorised/motorcycle troops serving in tropical climates - Syria, Indo China, etc.
9 figures - NCO, FM24 team and 6 carbine armed troops
Dismounted Circassians
These went far quicker and better than expected 😀
15 rifle armed Circassians, an moving Hotchkiss LMG team, a Hotchkiss MMG team, a Circassian officer and a French French officer all by Early War Miniatures.
Now I haven`t read anywhere of Circassians having LMGs or MMGs, we can assume LMGs were possibly part of a Squadron TO&E as they were with standard French formations, but I`ve read nothing about heavier support weapons?? Let`s assume if there was a gun available they would be trained to use maybe in one of the motorised columns or in a set defensive position.

Simple conversions (arm swaps) creating a bit of variety out of one pose
Left over figures put to use, a cavalry horse holder and Moroccan both of which will join my 7th Moroccan Division group and a sus-officer in Calot side cap
French Colonial Guns
Two scratched up additions to my colonial French gun park
I found i needed an additional AA gun to create a 2-gun battery for my Vichy forces, luckily I had a EWM gun crew in the spares box, so head-swapped them and painted them up to match my other Vichy colons. The twin 13.7mm AA is also EWM, but this do double duty with its original 1940 era crew

The gun is a real Frankenstein creation, the seated Moor was a Force20 Hotchkiss gunner, the other guy is an EWM French gunner with a Raventhorpe head

Early War Miniatures White TBC
Lovely resin/plastic cast body with a white metal turret and commander
Painted a dull green as illustrated in a couple of books i have on vehicles used in Syria and during Operation Torch. I don`t usually apply decals, but made an exception in this case

French Command Vehicles
A few days work, plodding along
I don`t as a rule decal my vehicles as they tend to be used as and where required, I`ve painted these a standard green so they can be used in France `40 or elsewhere if i so choose.
