Chain link fencing

Chain link fencing

I found bits of this fiberglass/plastic mesh that they use for plastering out in the street.

It occurred that if I cut it into lengths and mounted it using bits of match-stick and plastic as posts and painted it up it would make fair farm chain-link fencing. Here is the result - about 1.4 metres of it :) Figures for scale

  2. Thanks, certainly a cheap and cheerful alternative to "real" model fencing :)

The figures are meant to be French Troupes de Marine circa 1900-10, I`ve also used the same figures with a khaki uniform as Spanish peninsula conscript infantry around 1920 :)

  3. Works for me that. Probably easier to gluw than a metal alternative too.

    Cheers,

  4. I based the poles in lumps of air-drying clay, then glued these once dry to the base (bits of off cut plastic packaging) then glued the cut and trimmed "fencing" to the poles. Then textured the base and painted and flocked :) 1.4 metres of it :)
