P38 Lightning
My fourth plane this year!
A bit more allied air-support, for Sicily and Italy this time a P38 Lightning, probably my favourite aircraft of WW2, because I think they look so cool and interesting.
This is another Hobby Box kit which once again is moulded to be modelled with the undercarriage down! This was really frustrating and the landing gear hatches required major fettling to model them close - really a pain in the arse :( Otherwise the model assembled easily and I`m quite please how she looks. I added a pilot (a seated German tanker) and tried to paint her up based on a photo I found on the net.
